As your Village Mayor, I would like to take this opportunity to greet all new residents and thank past residents for your support, hard work and suggestions to make this a great community to live in now and for many years to come.
There are several things to do in the community. there are soft ball games on Wednesday nights, if iterested just show up at the diamonds. The rink offered curling again, as well as skating and table tennis. If you have any ideas for recreational activities or events for the rink, please come to the next rink meeting. It is a goal of the rink board to get the Community Centre as active as possible! You may enjoy coffee and cards on Wednesdays during the day at the Senior Citizen's Hall, as well as a dance and supper on the last Wednesday night of every month. There is a nature trail across the train tracks that may be of interest to some.
I would also like to note that Codette is a short drive from Codette Lake where fishing is at its best and only a thirty minute drive from the Wapiti Ski Hill.
Codette also has residential lots for sale at a reasonable price. If you or anyone you know is considering building a new home, please spread the word. We are also looking for suitable use for the school; Council is open to suggestions.
In closing, I would like to thank all residents of Codette for the opportunity of being your mayor. So with the help of all residents, let's continue to keep Codette a great place to live!
